Sherlock Holmes:A Game of Shadows Tops the Box Office

Game of Shadows the sequel to 2009's hit Sherlock Holmes arrived at the movies this past Friday and topped the Box Officer with 40 Million Sold, coming in second was another movie that debuted this weekend Alvin and The Chipmunks:Chipwrecked with 27 million.

SEASON 6 FINALE OF DEXTER

Showtime's hit show Dexter is having its season 6 finale tonight at 9. It has been a great season one filled with many surprised and a lot of good twist. I can't wait to see what is in store for us Dexter Fans tonight. Hopefully next season wont be the last one but its getting to the point where it might be since is like not much more they can offer. Anyways Dexter fans be sure to tune in for the season finale at 9 tonight on Showtime

Two movies that are considered to be top 10 box office grosses this year arrive today. First off is the 4th entry to Tom Cruise's popular Mission:Impossibe Franchise which started back in 1996. The latest instanllment is called Mission;Impossible Ghost Protocol. It is directed by Brad Bird who is more famous for cartoon movies such as The Incredibles and Ratatouille is making his live action feature directing debut. Second on our list is The Sequel to 2009's SHerlock Holmes entitled Sherlock Holmes:A Game of Shadows. Both these movies are expected to be big box-office hits and i do agree the reviews have been positive with Mission;Impossible especifically being criticly acclaimed having a 94 % rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

DJ Premier announces Joint Album with Nas

DJ Premier aka Primo who i consider to be the greatest producer of all time has announced a joint album with Queenz Rapper Nas.  Primo and Nasty Nas first worked together back ion 1994 when Primo was one of the producers on Nas critically acclaimed debut album Illmatic. Who ever truly knows me knows that for me Illmatic is easily the greatest rap album of all time. These 2 together simply make Rap music magic.

Garry Marshall's Holiday Themed Esemble Cast film Opens Number One

Garry Marshall (Pretty Woman,Valentines Day and The Princess Diaries) has hit yet another box office hit for himself. His latest romantic comedy gem opened number one this past weekend with 13.7 Million. Not such a strong opening but nonetheless still able to capture the number one spot. I happened to have seen it this past weekend an i must say Garry Marshall has definetly lost his touch with Romantic movies. this move was not that funny, overcasted, pointless characters and sub stories really dreadful shit i dont recommend anybody see it. Although i will say it was better then his last effort Valentines Day which for some reason was a box office smash last year brininging in over 200 million

Rapper Canibus dssing J. Cole

Jamaican Rapper Canibus who had rose to fame in the Late 90s has come with an unsual diss track to North Carolina Rapper J. Cole called J. Clone. This diss comes as shocking since J. Cole has mentioned in numerous interviews how Canibus was one of his favorite rappers growing up along Tupac Shakur,Jay-z and Nas. Canibus did explained in an interview that part of the reason why he dissed J.Cole was because since he always saids Canibus was his favorite rapper growing up that Cole should pay respect to him better instead of talking about him as if he was dead. In all Honesty i feel Canibus did this diss track just to be relevant again

Anticipated Los Mixtape Drops

Baltimore Rapper Los  released his anticipated second Mixtape of this year The Crown Ain't Safe. I must say it is defininetly  a veryy good solid effort for Los who's punchlines in this mixtape are incredible. One line that caught my attention was no roc nation no GOOD music but some how I still roc the nation with GOOD music. That line for those who dont know about Los is a pun that he is still unsigned despite being one of the best young lyricst. Also a pun to Roc Nation and GOOD music the labels headed by Jay-z and Kanye West

COLE WORLD:THE SIDELINE STORY GOES GOLD

After debuting at the number one spot at the billboard 100 back in late September Roc Nation rapper J. Cole recently went gold with his debut album Cole World: The Sideline Story  in just 2 months last week. It has been a long journey for the North Carolina Rapper, with no major radio single the album has been more succesful that either Jay-z or J. Cole himself could of though. The success of his debut  has definetly took Cole all the weight to national spotlight having been on the cover of numerous magazines in the last few months and been on a national tour that is oversees right now after being the opening act for labelmate Rihanna and Boss Jay-z in the past

2012 Grammy Nominations are in and J. Cole and Kanye West are in

Kanye West leads this years nominations with 7 including a double nomination for Best Rap Album with My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and his collaboration with Jay-z Watch The Throne, he was also nominated for Song of the year All The Lights featuring Kid Cudi and Rihanna. I feel he got snubbed for album of the year as My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy was critacly acclaimed when it got released as is already been called a classic. Roc Nation new comer J. Cole who released his debut album Cole World:The Sideline Story this past September was nominated for Best New Artist. He has an incredible internet buzz and has been touring non stop is a sure fire favorite to win it as he is so talented and bringing back real hip hop to the mainstream

Another Week passes and Twilight Saga:Breaking Dawn is still number one at the box office with week with 41.7 million and from the new releases of this past weekend which included The Muppets,Hugo and Arthur Christmas, The Muppets comes in 2nd this week selling 29.2. For me this is a bit shocking did not think it would have this much of a strong opening as their fan base is not all that great anymore. Rihanna's Highly Anticipated Followup to her 2010 Massive Succes LOUD has finally his stores this week November 22nd. Being Anchored by the Number One hit single across the globe We Found Love, this album is a surefire platinum success. Their is one particular thing that i found very intriguing and that is that this album only has one feature and that is of Mentor Jay-Z. The reason this is very intriguing is because now adays albums are full of features. Anyways in my opinion this is probably Rihanna's Best album after her 4th studio album Rated R

The Young Money Cash Money Billionaire label  did a very generous thing giving back to their New Orleans Community. They were giving away Turkeys to people for Thanksgiving, which is a very loving thing to do as we know New Orleans has had a rough past few years.

Bada Boom Video

This is Ludacris new video to his Diss Song to Big Sean and Drake from his new mixtape 1.21 Gigawatts: Back To The First Time which was released last week to critical acclaim. The nature of a song comes from a comment Big Sean had said last year where people where using his Supa Dupa Flow wrong, which is a reference to how Ludacris rapped in his platinum single My chick Bad from his 7th studio album Battle of The Sexes. The reason this can be attributed as a Drake diss as well is because Drake who had used the flow in his song Forever gave credit to Big Sean for inventing it. Basically this video is ofcourse of the song but of Ludacris showing how styles have been recycled for a long time and that nothing is really original anymore. 

The Muppets has Finally Arrived

The beloeved Muppets which were created in 1954 by the late great Jim Henson have finally arrived with their first theathrical release in 12 years and according to the reviews it has been worth the wait, the early reviews for it have been amazing as Rotten Tomatoes have given it Universal Acclaim with 97 % of their critics giving it a positive reviews. There are cameos beyond belief in this movie ranging from The Hangover's Zack Galifinakis to How I Met Your Mothers Neil Patrick FUCKINGGGGGGG Harris. If you have a kid or are just a fan of the Muppets make sure to check it out most likely you wont be dissapointed.

Drake's Sophmore Album Take Care tops the Billboard 100

As expected Drakes Sophmore effort Take Care which was released November 15th through Young Money Records opened at number one with 631,000 moved in is first week. Take Care had been leaked on the internet 8 days prior to the release date to positive reviews which made it obvious to many Drake did not have no Sophmore slump in his hands. The projection was that he would move 700-750 while he did not quiet get to that mark his album is the 3rd biggest opening this year after Lady Gaga  Born This Way that moved 1.1 Million and his Boss Lil Wayne who moved 964,00 with Tha Carter IV. Take Care follows his debut album Thank Me Later which opened at number one last June with 447,000 units moved. The album that came in second was Canadian singer Michael Buble's album Christmas which moved 165,000 units. I have listened to Take Care many times in its one week release at it is an amazing piece of work he covers a lot of emotions on it. Him going to his native Toronto to record the album definetly shows as it feels the album felt just right had al ot of emotion and a lot of Canadian swag and phrases. 

Box Office

Twilight Mania has come upon us this past weekend the highly anticipated 4th installment of the Box Officer succes Twilight Saga premiered, it topped this weekend s box office with number of 139.5 Million which is second best opening in the saga after the 2nd installment New Moon which opened with 142.8 Million in the same weekend in 2009. It also had the 2nd best Midnight Screening in history after the Last Installment of The Harry Potter series Deathly Hallows Part 2.  I happened to have been one to see it during its Midnight Opening in New York City Regal 13 in 42nd the way it was packed i am not surprised at all that it sold so much, i would also add it is definetly the best Twilight Film and Worth the Money for all you Twilight Fans. The last installment of the Twilight Saga is Breaking Dawn Part 2 and it is scheduled to hit theathers on November 16, 2012 which i feel will be yet another success for the already successful Twilight Saga
